About NTFD

The North Texas Festival of Distinction, hosted by the Richland HS Band and Haltom HS Band, is recognized as one of the premier band and orchestra festivals for middle school and junior high ensembles in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Each year, the festival brings together young musicians from across the metroplex and the state to perform for distinguished judges, showcasing their talent and dedication in a professional and supportive environment.

 

Designed to highlight musical excellence, the festival provides ensembles with high-quality adjudication and detailed, constructive feedback aimed at refining their performance and musical expression. More than just a performance opportunity, the festival celebrates the hard work of students and directors, while also shining a spotlight on the strength of music education in North Texas and beyond.
